Every Swahlee piece is made by hand, in our own studio in Assam, by a team of women who trained here and stayed on.

Most join us through a six-month training program, learning sewing and garment construction from the ground up alongside life-skills training. From there, those who continue with us move into full-time, fairly paid employment with paid time off. It's a defined pathway with a beginning and a future, not an open-ended job posting.
